Building a Personal AI Assistant: Discover Martin's Features

·
·

Hey folks 👋, I've been tinkering with building a personal AI assistant using Thoughtly. While it's fantastic for customer service and call center agents, I found it a bit challenging to adapt for internal use without attaching platforms like N8N. I understand that's not its primary focus, so no complaints there. In my search, I stumbled upon Martin—an AI assistant designed for personal tasks. It integrates with tools like Google Calendar, Gmail, and Slack, to do list etc , and your agent has aphone number you can text & call, as well as an email address so the agent can email you and manage your email inbox. It's like having a proactive assistant that manages your schedule, emails, and more. I grabbed a lifetime deal for $499 (you have to purchase through the site vs their app to get lifetime access). Just thought I'd share in case anyone else is looking for a personal digital assistant. It's still in the works but has a lot of potential. https://www.trymartin.com/

I own Martin ltd as well. If you want to elaborate on how y ou would integrate the two, that would be amazing. I'm all about reducing my workload so I can focus on other projects.

Frank Collette That’s awesome you grabbed the LTD too! Integration between Thoughtly and Martin is actually pretty straightforward in this case because both agents have phone numbers. While Martin doesn’t support webhooks (yet), Thoughtly does — so I’d set up a flow or "happy path" in Thoughtly and have Martin trigger it by calling my Thoughtly agent when certain business conditions are met. I don't have concrete examples yet since use cases will vary depending on the business, but imagine you’ve got multiple Thoughtly agents managing different departments or functions — marketing, customer support, admin, etc. You could use Martin as the central coordinator. Each morning, Martin could “check in” with the Thoughtly agents (via call/text), gather updates, and give you a daily summary so you get a bird’s eye view without logging into everything. Sure, you could store all that info in a spreadsheet — but if you're on the move, Martin acting as the connective tissue and delivering updates via SMS or Slack could be a real productivity boost. Happy to workshop more concrete examples if you're doing something similar!
